The "Organs of the Goldfields" festival takes place annually and features performances on historic organs at churchs across the Goldfields region.  On 12th January 2009 a recital was held at St Michael's Church in Talbot to launch the newly installed 1868 Fincham organ.

In addition to the organ recitals, Talbot celebrated with dramatic performances in the town square and heritage tours.  A morning tea and special BBQ lunch were provided, with all proceeds to the organ restoration fund.
